Starting the year off right: Deleting wants.

Want is not a part of my new vocabulary. It is not how I will decide priorities or live my life.

The brain is like a stubborn child. It can ruin the best of plans. It will always try to bargain, to squeeze in that extra distraction, to tell you something feels urgent when it is not. Want is not how I will run my day. Need and have will be used more, and respected more.

I need to spend 30 minutes a day looking after my body.
I need to grow my network and have to meet someone new each week.
I have to have one meal a day with my family.
I have to spend 20 minutes in silence and reflect on my day.
I have to read more books.
I need to stop taking technology to bed. Only paperbacks and water allowed.

The below wants I can do without:
I want to spend another 15 minutes in bed.
I want to drink a beer and hang out with my friends for no reason.
I want to eat another chocolate.

Needs and haves are the anchors. Wants can wait.
